In the muddy waters of the Amazon’s rivers, the remnants of an entire forest. Suspended sediments meander into the distance, fertilizing and shifting riverbanks. The waters pause before the tide turns. And then the açaí reflects ochre—the açaí, which only grows where the river can reach.
