Strengthening Regional Cooperation to Tackle Environmental and Related Crimes in the Amazon Basin
The event will focus on the coordinated action required among Amazonian countries to combat environmental and related crimes threatening the region’s biodiversity. With the recent approval of ACTO’s resolution for the formulation of a regional security plan, a new era of cooperation opens to address these challenges. It will bring together representatives from ACTO and authorities from Amazonian countries to discuss and strengthen strategies for ensuring a collective and effective response to these crimes. The session will also emphasize the importance of integrating biodiversity values into regional policies and fostering partnerships to enhance the management of natural resources in the Amazon.
