Riverside city under the red light of açaí

Climate change has anthropogenic causes, but not all humans contribute equally to it. Actions driven by predatory capitalism and their harmful consequences cannot be compared to low-impact ways of living. Thinking about Belém, an Amazonian city, many homes in its lower areas, in its floodplains, reflect knowledge and lives in interaction with the world of water, forests, and non-humans who also inhabit them. A study of the architecture of traditional riverside house facades includes a model illuminated by red lights, commonly used to mark açaí sales at night.
