Biomass, women, and agroforestry in restoration

A woman learns to handle seedlings and plant using biomass preparation. The community of family farmers in Juruti participated in a training and implementation project for agroforestry systems, with a focus on gender equality. Demonstration units led by women inspired their neighbors, who also decided to manage their own agroforests, diversifying production and increasing income, which was previously exclusively focused on manioc.
