Delegation of diplomats participates in a mission to the Brazilian Amazon led by the Vice President of Brazil

ACTO Secretary General, Alexandra Moreira, who is taking part with the delegation of diplomats in the trip through the Brazilian Amazon (State of Pará), led by the vice president of Brazil, Hamilton Mourão, visited the Belo Monte hydroelectric plant installations today. Chocolate Factory (Gencau Pará) and flew over Volta Grande do Xingu.

The schedule continues until Friday (9/10) and the agenda includes visits to the Emílio Goeldi Museum and the Evandro Chagas Institute, the first scientific institution in the Amazon.

The purpose of this trip is to show the actions of the federal government to protect, preserve and develop the region, learn about public-private partnerships aimed at the conservation of the Amazon and visit research centers in the areas of health and biology. The mission also includes the participation of diplomats, parliamentarians, federal government representatives, and journalists.
