Bioamazon is a regional project of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) that contributes to the conservation of the Amazon Biodiversity, especially of the species included in the CITES Convention. For this it seeks to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of management, monitoring and control of wildlife species threatened by trade in ACTO’s Member Countries – Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.
It is part of a Cooperation Agreement between the Federal Government of Germany and ACTO with implementation through KfW.
