Brasilia, August 03, 2016.-The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), within the scope of the Amazon Basin Monitoring Network Pilot Initiative, of the Amazonas Project: Regional Action in the Area of Water Resources (ACTO/ANA/ABC) carried out the delivery of two hydrometeorological stations in Colombia, the first Member Country to receive the equipment.
The stations, which have a Data Collection Platform (DCP) for rain, temperature and humidity, were donated to the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM – Colombia), which will be part of its inventory to support the monitoring process of the Amazon basin. This initiative was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia in collaboration with the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation of Colombia (APC).
