The Project emerged as a South-South Cooperation initiative between the Brazilian Government and ACTO with the objective of contributing to the incorporation of the social inclusion topic in the Amazonian Strategic Cooperation Agenda, analyzing the socio–economic development based on the needs of the people living in isolated zones in the region, specifically in border areas.
The project aimed at giving a diagnose of the social policies’ profile in the eight Member Countries by conducting surveys of social technologies and mapping of public services in the fields of education, health, housing, household production, energy and communication, in addition to the documentation of people living in isolated areas, especially in border areas.
