COP30

The first COP held in Brazil – in the Amazon region – is symbolic for ACTO

Given the current climate crisis, the biome plays a fundamental role in global climate preservation, and ACTO, as the region’s only multilateral voice and the main political and technical forum in the Amazon, is ready to ensure its sustainable future. We make the Amazon a territory of solutions.

ACTO and the Amazon: United for Protection and Regional Cooperation

The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) is the only intergovernmental entity dedicated exclusively to the Amazon. Created by the eight Amazonian countries, it strengthens regional cooperation to protect the forest, promote sustainable development, and ensure the well-being of the peoples who live in the largest river basin and tropical rainforest on Earth.
