Brasilia, June 8, 2016.- The Board of the Green Climate Fund in accordance with the decision B.08/20 approved the accreditation of the Amazon CooperationTreaty Organization (ACTO) as observer to the fund.
The Green Climate Fund is a global unique initiative adopted at the end of 2011 as a financial mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention onClimate Change (UNFCCC). It is expected that this instrument may become the main multilateral funding mechanism to support the climate actions in the developing countries.
