The Secretary-General of ACTO, Alexandra Moreira, who is traveling to Santiago, met with the Ambassador of Mexico in Chile and former Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Alicia Bárcena.
During the meeting, they discussed the study “Support for the Identification of Sociodemographic Inequality Gaps in the Amazon Region: Proposal of Indicators for its visibility”, which is being promoted by ECLAC and ACTO as a joint initiative. Bárcena’s support, during her mandate, was fundamental for the development of this study, which is being prepared by the Latin American and Caribbean Demographic Center (CELADE/ECLAC).
In the coming months, ACTO will present this study as part of the incentive that must be given at the regional level to achieve actions within the framework of the sustainable development of the Amazon Region, with a multidimensional approach.
