The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) will participate at the 8th World Water Forum, which is the first time for the Southern Hemisphere to hold the world’s largest water event. This international encounter will happen at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, in Brasília, Brazil, from March 18 to March 23.
ACTO will have an institutional booth at the EXPO, where it will introduce the main initiatives it has been developing in the Amazonian Region, within the theme of water resources.
In this regard, ACTO will make various sessions and presentations in an auditorium on the successful initiatives related to water resources, for instance, transboundary management, alert systems, monitoring and information systems, within the framework of the Amazon Project: Regional Action in the Area of Water Resources. It will also present the initiatives and main results from the GEF Amazon Project and activities that commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty.
