Meet “Schumacher”, a sloth rescued while trying to cross a road in Iquitos (Peru).
Bradypus variegatus is a Brown-throated sloth (three toed), typically found in Central America, Mexico and South America (Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela).
As a threatened species it has been part of CITES Appendix II since 2011.
