Ecuador is a free and democratic country, located in the heart of equatorial latitude line zero. It is a multiethnic country rich in culture, nature and archaeology. The country is divided into 24 provinces, distributed in 4 natural regions: Amazonas, Sierra, Costa and Insular Region. The highest volcano is the Chimborazo, 6,310m above sea level.
