This meeting aims to validate the preliminary draft of ASCA 2019-2030, reviewed by the Member Countries with their new incorporated inputs, which will be submitted for approval at the Meeting of the Amazon Cooperation Council (ACC).
According to the mandates of the Member Countries, the review and update of the ASCA is aligned with the new international scenarios, that is, considering the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and the commitments of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, as well as other relevant international agreements for the achievement of the objectives of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty. The ASCA is the main instrument that guides the activities of the PS/ACTO.
Cooperation Workshop.- Later then, delegates will participate in the “I Regional workshop on cooperation opportunities” (10/04), with the objective of discussing and identifying issues and cooperation opportunities, including the South-South cooperation, developing a plan for resources mobilization and cooperation strategy for ACTO.
