The Project ACTO/UNEP/GEF- Integrated and Sustainable Management of Transboundary Water Resources in the Amazon River Basin, considering climate variability and change is a successful regional initiative involving the eight Member Countries of ACTO, being actually a great example of the benefits of regional cooperation at the level of the basin.
