The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) is seeking a Technical Assistant in Climate Change to support the Climate Change Coordination Unit, facilitating the efficient implementation of the annual work plan, monitoring projects and programs, and engaging with national focal points and other relevant actors. The assistant will contribute to ensuring the quality of technical outputs, meeting the organization’s strategic objectives, and strengthening regional cooperation to address climate change challenges in the Amazon.
Working Conditions and Location
The Technical Assistant in Climate Change will work in person at the SP/ACTO headquarters in Brasília/DF, Brazil, and must be available for immediate start.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
The position requires a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or related fields, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the environmental and natural resources field, with a focus on climate change. At least 3 years of experience with UNFCCC mechanisms, preferably within the COP context, and knowledge of the Amazonian and Latin American context are required. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English is mandatory.
Conditions
Salary: R$ 18,000.00 (eighteen thousand reais)
