The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) is hiring a Senior expert in Spatial Analysis and Modeling to join the team at the Amazon Regional Observatory (ARO), headquartered in Brasilia, Brazil.
Main activities:

Management, integration, and standardization of spatial data from ACTO member countries.

Development and maintenance of Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) and WebGIS solutions.

Automation of geospatial processes using languages such as Python and R.

Conducting advanced analyses and spatial modeling within the Amazonian context.

Technical training and preparation of documentation for member country teams.
Main requirements:

A university degree in Geography, Cartographic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

Postgraduate studies and/or certifications in GIS, databases, or development are desirable.

Strong experience with ESRI platforms (ArcGIS) and open-source tools (QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS).

Proven knowledge in programming, advanced spatial analysis, and geospatial data management.
Location: ACTO headquarters (Brasilia – DF).
