The Secretary General of the ACTO, Alexandra Moreira López, is participating in the “International Summit on Water Security: for a participatory and innovative management of basins”, in Marrakech, Morocco.
This Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, Alexandra Moreira will make a presentation on the main projects developed by ACTO, in the field of integrated and sustainable management of transboundary water resources, highlighting the challenges and opportunities of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the Amazon Basin. She will talk about the Amazon GEF Project, the Amazon Project and also initiatives that will be implemented as the Regional Project for the protection of the environment and the sustainable management of the groundwater of the Amazon Aquifer.
Her presentation will be during Panel 2 of the Session 4 “Water diplomacy, international and transboundary cooperation for water security”.
This meeting, which will be held until Oct. 3rd, is organized by the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water of the Kingdom of Morocco, in collaboration with the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) and Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health (GIWEH).
