Brasilia, Dec.2nd, 2019. – The ACTO is participating in the “Water and Sanitation Awareness Week”, of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in Washington D.C., United States.
This awareness meeting organized by the Water and Sanitation Division (WSA), serves as a platform to facilitate the exchange of experiences, strategies, public policies and technologies in areas of interest for the water and sanitation sector.
As a panelist in the Transboundary Basins session, Alexandra Moreira, secretary general of the ACTO, will present the experiences and the main achievements in the transboundary water resources management in the Amazon Region, as well as future opportunities. She will highlight, among the initiatives, the GEF Amazon Project: Water Resources and Climate Change.
The event, which will take place until Wednesday, Dec.4th, brings together specialists in water and sanitation from the IDB, technicians from the member countries and other key players in the sector and its objective is to present the work topics of the Division, strengthen the technical knowledge and capacity of IDB specialists and their strategic partners.
