ACTO operates through Thematic Axes of Cooperation, which represent the main areas of joint action among the Member Countries.
Each axis represents a strategic area of collective action, aimed at strengthening regional integration, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the well-being of Amazonian populations.
These axes are interconnected and reflect an integrated vision of the Amazon — a diverse and essential territory for environmental balance and sustainable development.
Through these axes, ACTO promotes coordinated regional policies, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the integration of science, peoples, and nature.
