During the meeting with the National Head of the Peruvian National Water Authority (ANA), Alfonso Pablo Huerta Fernández and representatives, the Secretary General of ACTO, Alexandra Moreira, congratulated the relevant institutional work being developed in the Peruvian Amazon.
The ACTO delegation, also composed of the Executive Director, Carlos Lazary, and the Administrative Director, Carlos Salinas, referred to ANA’s work and pointed out that ANA’s work is outstanding in the region. They also shared information on cooperation with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in access to basic drinking water, sanitation and solid waste services.
Likewise, it was emphasized at the meeting to work jointly with the Amazon Regional Observatory (ORA) and ANA’s Water Observatory, which has information on 159 hydrographic basins, as well as topics related to Peru’s statistical, tabular and cartographic information.
Roberto Puyó Valladares, General Manager of ANA, also attended the meeting, connecting live from the Yarinacocha Lagoon, in the Ucayali Region, to greet the visit of the OTCA delegation, together with Engineer Yuli Vila Godoy, Chief Advisor, and ANA professionals, and to present the operation of one of the Hydrometric Stations in the area.
