This meeting aims to provide a space for dialogue with ACTO Member Countries in order to facilitate the exchange of opinions on regional interest that will be addressed at the event.
It is planned to analyze the agenda of the 17th Conference of the Parties with a regional perspective of Amazonian cooperation. It is also on the agenda of the meeting to inform Member Countries about ACTO activities at the Conference and the progress of Strategic Agenda the ACTO in relation to CITES themes.
The 17th Conference will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from September 24 to October 5, 2016.
Cites. With 181 Parties, CITES continues to be one of the most important instruments in the world for the conservation of biodiversity through the regulation of trade in species of fauna and flora.
