The PRIC has been developed as a web platform, according to the activities of phase 3 (Consolidation) of the ITTO / CDB / ACTO Project: “Institutional strengthening of ACTO member countries in ecologically responsible forest management and biodiversity conservation in managed Amazon.”
This second edition of the course, which will be held in English and Spanish, has more than 20 participants from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela, who will be trained in the management of the platform. This course, as well as its first edition, which was held in December 2018, is aimed at the different actors in the forestry sector of the ACTO member countries and will focus on training them in the management of e-learning tools (online courses) and forums.
With this training, ACTO Member Countries will be able to be users and administrators of the PRIC, with an on-line tool (web platform). This way, they will be able to develop and strengthen their national forest training processes, through creation and access to online courses, participation in virtual forums and debates related to the conservation and management of the biodiversity of productive forests of the Amazon.
Another important functionality will be the exchange of information and experiences among the different actors, making use of the tool of repositories (upload / download function).
