The event will begin with an introduction by the moderator, followed by a contextualization of regional challenges by Freddy Mamani, ACTO’s Coordinator of Indigenous Affairs. Then, Elvira Gutiérrez, Coordinator of the Indigenous Peoples’ Platform Creation Project, will present the operationalization of the Platform and its planning instruments. Additionally, a consultant from ECOGAPTA will present the strategic guidelines of the Amazon mechanism.
The meeting promises to be a space for deep dialogue, where indigenous leaders can express their concerns and suggestions regarding the Platform creation process. It is also expected that concrete recommendations and a clear roadmap for the next steps will emerge from this meeting.
