Indigenous Peoples in the Amazon are among the most affected by climate change, facing droughts, floods, rising temperatures, and wildfires that threaten their territories and livelihoods. At the same time, they play a crucial role in conserving forests and regulating the climate, with territories that act as barriers to deforestation and major carbon sinks. Their traditional knowledge supports adaptation and sustainable resource management. However, increasing climate pressures are disrupting natural cycles and intensifying vulnerabilities the risks. Strengthening territorial protection, ensuring participation in climate policies, and integrating Indigenous knowledge are essential for resilience and effective climate action.
